Elizabeth Hann is co-founder and CEO of Nolux, unlocking global food security by decoupling plant growth from photosynthesis. She completed a post-doc in the Church Lab at the Wyss Institute at Harvard. Hann earned her Ph.D. in plant biology from UC Riverside at the Jinkerson Lab and her B.S. in environmental systems from UC San Diego. She did research in the Ecker Lab at Salk Institute and developed algal biofuels at Synthetic Genomics.
Nolux is unlocking a new era of resilient global food security by growing crops without light. Decoupling food production from photosynthesis dramatically reduces the energy costs of indoor farming—enabling efficient, affordable, year-round crop production anywhere on Earth and beyond.
