Thank you for your interest in applying to the Cyclotron Road LEEP fellowship. Cyclotron Road empowers entrepreneurial scientists to take their innovation to impact by offering knowledge, resources, and connections.
Cyclotron Road applications are managed in partnership with the non-profit Activate, in conjunction with their Activate Berkeley community. Applications to Cyclotron Road are reviewed by Berkeley Lab staff in coordination with our partners and sponsors.
Applications for the fellowship are collected every year between September and October. Applications for Cohort 2025 are closed. Read on to learn about the application timeline and how to apply for future cohorts.

Application Overview Checklist
- Subscribe to our contact list for updates on webinars and application deadlines
- Attend an informational webinar about the program and the application process
- During the online application, please be prepared to provide the following:
- Professional resume, one page PDF per applicant
- Responses to questions about your professional journey, interests, skills, and goals
- Project description of your proposed technical concept
- Technical vision statement and brief technical PDF slide deck
- Explore scientific expertise and resources available at Berkeley Lab
