Yashee Mathur is the founder and CEO of Hydrify, building technology to systematically unlock geologic hydrogen as a clean primary energy source. She holds a PhD in Energy Science and Engineering from Stanford, where her research focused on geologic hydrogen exploration. Mathur brings over a decade of subsurface experience across Cairn Oil & Gas and Shell, has authored multiple peer-reviewed publications, and holds a patent on subsurface hydrogen detection. She is a 2026 Stanford Impact Founder Fellow.
Geologic hydrogen holds 50x the energy potential of all proven natural gas reserves, yet no systematic method exists to find it. Hydrify’s AI- and physics-powered exploration platform finds it and develops it into clean hydrogen and electricity at scale.
