Cyclotron Road applications are managed in partnership with the non-profit Activate, in conjunction with their Activate Berkeley community. Applications to Cyclotron Road are reviewed by Berkeley Lab staff in coordination with our partners and sponsors.

Application Overview Checklist
- Subscribe to our contact list for updates on webinars and application deadlines
- Attend an informational webinar about the program and the application process
- During the online application, please be prepared to provide the following:
- Professional resume, one page PDF per applicant
- Responses to questions about your professional journey, interests, skills, and goals
- Project description of your proposed technical concept
- Technical vision statement and brief technical PDF slide deck
- Explore scientific expertise and resources available at Berkeley Lab
We are now accepting applications for Cohort 2026! If you want to take your idea to impact, apply by October 28, 2025. Click here to navigate to our application portal, managed by our non-profit partner, Activate. You will be prompted to create a Survey Monkey Apply (SMA) profile to view the application tasks, which includes a “Community Selection” step.
